It appears GM is moving ahead, albeit with baby steps, toward production of the next-gen Camaro. GM Holden has a task force in play that is reportedly working on the production version, according to the Telegraph (an Australian newspaper).
"The only thing I can say on the record is that our new rear-wheel-drive (Zeta) architecture is the main candidate for the future American rear-wheel-drive products, including the Camaro concept," stated GM Holden Chairman Denny Mooney. "We have a significant number of engineering and design resources
working on the project."
Mooney never actually confirmed the activity at GM Holden; he never denied it either. Looks like it will be an Aussie Maro after all. Stay tuned.
